**CNC Programmer - 1st Shift - $45/hr-$60/hr - Vista, CA** Job Description The CNC Programmer will support our shop floor operations by developing and optimizing programs for 3-5 axis machines and sheet metal equipment. This role involves creating support documentation, assisting with problem-solving, and ensuring efficient and accurate part production. Responsibilities + Plan production for 3-axis, 5-axis, and sheet metal parts. + Determine saw lengths, sheet sizes, and part quantities per setup. + Design and optimize tooling and fixtures. + Create and update NC programs to meet current standards and engineering revisions. + Generate shop drawings, setup sheets, and tool lists. + Provide on-floor support to CNC and sheet metal operators. + Assist with tooling and method testing. Essential Skills + Programming on 3, 4, and 5 axis machines. + Experience working with Mastercam. + Must have mill experience. + Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., MasterCAM, CATIA). + Strong understanding of G-code, part holding, and advanced machining techniques. + Comfortable using computers and basic Excel. + Excellent problem-solving, reasoning, and communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Minimum 2 years of CNC programming or relevant shop floor experience. Work Environment This role is based in an industrial machine shop with big and loud equipment. The shop can be hot or cold depending on the season. The position operates Monday through Friday from 7am to 3:30pm. Why Work Here?
