CNC Process Engineer

Description

Responsibilities:

· Use blueprints, specifications, work orders, drawings and geometric dimensions and tolerances to develop complete print to start of production parts.

· Develop efficient material flows, new part cost estimates, and procedures for new and current processes.

· Develop processes with goal of lights out production.

· Detect and troubleshoot system malfunctions through taking measurements, adjusting offsets, and closely monitoring tooling, grinding, grooving, drilling, turning, and cutting.

· Use lean manufacturing principles to drive process improvements and actively track production inefficiencies.

· Adhere to all company, local, state, federal protocol, and safety regulations.

· Develop and actively participate with multiple department personnel in regular preventative measures for issues during the life of the process.

· Mentor team members and actively engage operators in continuous improvement efforts and accurately document daily process issues.

· Accomplish company objectives via accepting responsibilities for completing innovative and new requests while also exploring value adding opportunities.

· Approach all tasks assigned with a positive can-do attitude.

· Create and maintain shop documentations to include process flow, work instructions change requests, tooling lists, material costs, cycle time studies, tool paths and offsets.

· Maintaining an efficient, clean, and organized workspace.

· Actively work with machine vendors to schedule integrations and deal with warranty and service issues.

Qualifications:

· BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering or Technical related field preferred.

· At least 5 years’ experience in manufacturing as a process engineer in a CNC environment preferred.

· Understanding of SolidWorks, Mastercam and MS Office.

· Experience in tooling design and fixture development a plus.

· Experience with 5 axis Mills and Lathes.

· Experience with CMM’s and other measuring equipment a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Hendersonville, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/hr.
