Cnc Operator/Set Up
**Job Title: CNC Operator/Set Up** Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator/Set Up professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper set-up and operation of CNC machinery to produce high-quality parts while adhering to safety and productivity standards. Responsibilities + Remove labor tickets from trays or baskets for shop orders and retrieve shop packets from the Toolcrib area. + Conduct first piece inspection with the Quality Control Technician or Set-up Operator. + Operate CNC lathe by engaging the start button, checking stock status, and running parts to meet quality and productivity standards. + Load bar stock into the hydra bar unit and maintain material staging and feeding into the machine. + Set up and operate assigned machines to produce quality parts without assistance or supervision. + Access and interpret prints in computer files with specific instructions for each order. + Detect machine malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and verify conformance of finished parts. + Perform preventive maintenance and ensure equipment is in safe working condition. + Communicate pertinent information to coworkers and supervisors. + Maintain quality by performing quality set-ups, checks, and completing required documentation. + Participate in safety training and demonstrate a high regard for safety at all times. + Wear Personal Protective Equipment as required by safety regulations. Essential Skills + Machining knowledge with 2 or more years of related work experience. + High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Basic computer skills and abilities. + Proficiency in using CNC machines, blueprints, calipers, and micrometers. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Ability to work independently and without supervision. + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. + Capability to support department and company initiatives, including cost savings and Six Sigma projects. Work Environment Join a large operation with approximately 125 employees on the floor. This role is for the 2nd or 3rd shift, with hours from Mon-Fri 3:30PM-12AM or Sun-Thu 12AM-7:30AM. Work in a setting that prioritizes safety and teamwork, where you will wear the necessary Personal Protective Equipment and work collaboratively with a dedicated team. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gainesville, Georgia. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.43 - $23.69/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
