**Job Title: Machine Operator - Metal**
Job Description
We are seeking skilled Machine Operators specializing in Turning and Hobbing to join our team. You will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and ensuring the quality of metal cutting machines. Your role will contribute to meeting daily production goals while adhering to quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
+ Operate machines efficiently, focusing on both Turning and Hobbing processes.
+ Load and unload machines and adjust machine settings as necessary.
+ Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of equipment and tools.
+ Conduct quality inspections and record measurements into the quality system.
+ Report production metrics and follow International Automotive Task Force (IATF) quality standards.
+ Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production targets.
+ Escalate any issues to supervisors and managers promptly.
+ Follow Internal Quality Issues (IQI) procedures and ensure First In-First Out (FIFO) practices.
+ Comply with safety rules and policies and maintain housekeeping standards using the 5S methodology.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum 6 months of CNC experience.
+ Proficiency in operating CNC machines, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
+ Strong reading comprehension of work instructions.
+ Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple machines.
+ Basic mechanical experience with knowledge of metal cutting machines.
+ Understanding of schematics and the metric system.
+ Strong mathematical skills and knowledge of measurement devices.
+ Basic computer skills and SAP knowledge preferred.
+ Consistency in attendance and punctuality.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Basic knowledge of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) is preferred.
+ Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is a plus.

Work Environment
Our facility is clean and climate-controlled, offering a comfortable work setting. Shifts available include Monday to Friday, with positions on the 2nd shift from 2:55 PM to 11:05 PM and 3rd shift from 10:55 PM to 7:05 AM. Physical requirements include lifting and carrying weights up to 50 lbs for Turning and 35 lbs for Hobbing, as well as frequent standing, walking, and handling equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gainesville, Georgia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
