**Job Title: CNC Operator/Machinist (90 day contract)** Job Description As a CNC Operator, you will perform set-ups, with some supervision, on a wide variety of CNC machines. Your work will ensure accurate and precise compliance with design and quality standards. Responsibilities + Monitor variations in sequence, such as positioning and cycle time, and make necessary corrections. + Work from drawings and specifications. + Troubleshoot at the machine and communicate with the lead on the job. + Run production and deburr parts as required. + Help determine the best machining process. + Select and align tooling, fixtures, and attachments for machining. + Adjust the machine to produce a conforming product. + Perform in-process inspection of your own work while running the machine. + Complete required paperwork and keep material and paperwork organized. + Provide on-the-job training to other employees in the department. + Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition, working safely and complying with all established safety rules and work practices. + Keep the Team Leader informed of job, machine, and equipment-related problems as well as any other information related to work activity. + Maintain and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment. + Conform to the company quality system as documented. + Perform all other duties as assigned. Essential Skills + Experience in either mill or lathe operating. + Ability to work alone or with consistent oversight. + Ability to read blueprints and use measuring instruments. + Experience with machine setup. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with tight tolerances in the Aerospace or Medical Device Industry is a huge plus. + At least 3 years of machine operating experience in a job shop environment.
