CNC Lathe Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to perform basic operations of CNC equipment. You will be responsible for loading materials, starting the cycle, and unloading materials while ensuring compliance with instructions and material handling protocols.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC equipment efficiently and safely.Stack and unload products as per instructions.Develop competency to change inserts within 6 months.Develop competency to make offsets within 3 months.Communicate effectively with co-workers and management.Accurately enter production quantities in the ERP system.Input job data per MBP MMS requirements.Measure parts accurately using various gauging and metrology equipment.Participate in team activities as needed.Act as a 'go-to' person to get work accomplished.Essential Skills
1-4 years of experience in a similar role.High school diploma or GED.Strong mechanical aptitude.Knowledge of ferrous and/or non-ferrous materials.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Good written and verbal communication skills.Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Knowledge of basic mathematics.Basic blueprint reading and understanding of GD&T.Proper measuring techniques with various gauges.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior manufacturing experience in a job shop is preferred.Experience with Lathe Operating is beneficial, with 2-3 years required for entry-level pay and 5+ years for higher pay scales.Knowledge of Okuma Lathe Operating is a plus.Work Environment
Our facility is air-conditioned, extremely clean, and organized. We utilize a range of advanced equipment, including turning centers, automated cells, vertical machining centers, wire EDM, and inspection equipment. The work environment involves first and second shifts, with opportunities to work with sophisticated machinery and technology in a supportive and safe setting.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Lake Zurich, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $62400.00/yr.
