CNC Operator
**CNC Operator – 1st or 2nd Shift** Contract-to-hire opportunity through Aerotek Aerotek is partnering with a well‑established manufacturing company to hire a skilled CNC Operator. This role is ideal for candidates who take pride in precision machining, enjoy working in a clean and organized environment, and want long‑term stability with room for growth. **Job Summary** The CNC Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machining equipment to produce high‑quality components according to engineering specifications. This position involves working with tight tolerances, performing routine inspections, and ensuring consistent production output. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes according to production requirements + Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings + Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments as needed + Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools + Maintain tolerances within specified limits + Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot basic issues + Document production data and maintain accurate records + Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area + Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goals **Qualifications** + 1–3 years of CNC machine operation experience (mills, lathes, or both) + Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools + Experience performing setups or partial setups is preferred + Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills + Familiarity with aluminum machining is a plus + Ability to work independently and maintain consistent quality + Willingness to work overtime as needed **Shift & Work Environment** + Openings available on 1st and 2nd shift + Clean, organized, climate‑controlled facility + Modern CNC equipment and supportive team environment + Tons of room for growth and promotion and training **Why Work With Aerotek** + Weekly pay + Benefits options + Contract‑to‑hire pathway with long‑term career potential **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cary, IL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
