Job SummaryThe CNC Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machining equipment to produce high‑quality components according to engineering specifications. This position involves working with tight tolerances, performing routine inspections, and ensuring consistent production output.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes according to production requirementsRead and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawingsPerform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments as neededInspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring toolsMaintain tolerances within specified limitsMonitor machine performance and troubleshoot basic issuesDocument production data and maintain accurate recordsFollow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work areaCollaborate with supervisors and team members to meet daily production goalsQualifications1–3 years of CNC machine operation experience (mills, lathes, or both)Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement toolsExperience performing setups or partial setups is preferredStrong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skillsFamiliarity with aluminum machining is a plusAbility to work independently and maintain consistent qualityWillingness to work overtime as neededShift & Work EnvironmentOpenings available on 1st and 2nd shiftClean, organized, climate‑controlled facilityModern CNC equipment and supportive team environmentTons of room for growth and promotion and trainingWhy Work With AerotekWeekly payBenefits optionsContract‑to‑hire pathway with long‑term career potentialJob Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cary, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
