CNC Operator

Location: Portland, OR

Paying $20 - $24 / HR

Responsibilities:

Operate CNC machines according to established procedures and job instructions.Load raw materials and initiate machining cycles.Select and install pre-determined attachment heads as directed.Monitor machine operations and report any irregularities or malfunctions.Perform basic visual and dimensional inspections of finished parts.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Follow all safety protocols and company policies.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining preferred.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Environment / Shift:

Large machine shop doing high precision large production runs on a variety of CNC's. Recently acquired by Voyager Engineering and more focused on small parts for the aerospace industry. Company has a family feel to it and management is very connected to the operators.They have chosen their business wisely over the last 25 years and have an excellent work flow from quarter to quarter. Largest customer is Benchmade Knives, they make their titanium and aluminum knife frames.Day Shift: 5am start. 4x10's OR 5x8's

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
