**Job Title: CNC Mill/Grinder Operator**
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill/Grinder Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC mills and surface grinders, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and maintaining equipment. This role involves reading blueprints and job orders to meet product specifications and performing quality checks with precision instruments.
Responsibilities
+ Plan and verify the daily grinding schedule and review cut sheets, work orders, and sales orders for customer instructions on tolerance.
+ Read shop drawings and adjust machines for dimensional requirements.
+ Operate grinding and milling machines, adhering to safety and quality procedures.
+ Handle Haas CNC Mill and CNC surface grinders.
+ Compile and submit daily Mill/Grinding Turnover of Information Reports to the Lead/Supervisor.
+ Inspect equipment for defects before moving items to the shipping area.
+ Follow tooling instructions and standard charts, applying knowledge of grinding procedures.
+ Read blueprints and job orders for product specifications, including dimensions and tolerances.
+ Verify dimensions of workpieces using micrometers, calipers, and preset gauges.
+ Change worn grinding wheels using appropriate tools.
+ Load feed mechanisms and verify settings by measuring positions and sample workpieces.
+ Maintain equipment by following preventive maintenance schedules and troubleshooting malfunctions.
+ Ensure continuity among work shifts through documentation and communication.
+ Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
+ Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
+ Contribute to organizational goals by accepting ownership for new requests and exploring opportunities to add value.
Essential Skills
+ Experience operating a CNC Mill or CNC grinder (at least 6 months).
+ Proficiency in reading blueprints.
+ Ability to perform quality inspections using micrometers and calipers.
+ Familiarity with CNC grinding or CNC milling processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with setups and use of crane equipment.
+ Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures.

Work Environment
Work in a dynamic metals environment that is loud with multiple machines and saws operating. While not climate-controlled, the facility is clean, organized, and well-lit. Safety is paramount, requiring PPE such as helmets, steel-toed shoes, and safety glasses.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
