Job Title: CNC Operator

Job Description

As a CNC Operator, you will set up and operate CNC machines, including mills and lathes, to produce parts according to blueprints and specifications. You will perform machine adjustments, tool changes, and offsets as needed. Your role includes inspecting finished products using precision measuring tools and monitoring machine performance while troubleshooting issues to ensure optimal operation. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is essential, as is following safety procedures and company policies at all times. You will collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and document production data and quality checks accurately.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts per blueprints and specifications.Perform machine adjustments, tool changes, and offsets as required.Inspect finished products using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers.Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Follow safety procedures and company policies consistently.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals.Document production data and conduct quality checks accurately.

Essential Skills

2+ years of CNC operation experience.2+ years of experience with micrometers, calipers, and gauges.2+ years of experience reading and interpreting blueprints.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.Familiarity with CNC controls such as Fanuc, Haas, and Mazak.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.Good communication and teamwork skills.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Work Environment

Work in a temperature-controlled shop that maintains a typical machine shop feel but is well organized and laid back. Some areas may be a bit louder, typical of a machine shop.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $27.00/hr.
