**Job Title: Heavy Industrial Machine Operator**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated Heavy Industrial Machine Operator with experience in operating machinery in a heavy industrial setting. The ideal candidate will have the ability to set up products onto machinery, read measurement tools, and follow detailed instructions to ensure the accuracy and quality of the products.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate heavy industrial machinery efficiently and safely.
+ Set up products onto machinery following detailed instructions.
+ Read and interpret measurement tools such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
+ Ensure product accuracy and notify the manager or maintenance if product tolerance is off.
+ Conduct minimal deburring of products and utilize hand cranes to move materials off the line.
+ Meet minimal production output and complete documentation of errors, measurements, and product completion.
+ Maintain a clean work area.
**Essential Skills**
+ Heavy industrial or steel fabrication experience.
+ Experience in machine operation or CNC operation.
+ Ability to read and interpret measurement tools and basic blueprints.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to work in a loud, dirty, and temperature-variable environment.
+ Comfortable working in an older facility with plans for upgrades.

**Work Environment**
The work environment is dynamic, with a focus on production and efficiency. The facility currently operates with 120 employees and is expanding to include three shifts: 1st (7am-3pm), 2nd (3-11pm), and 3rd (11pm-7am). Training will be conducted on the day shift. Steel-toed boots are required. The facility is older, comprising two separate buildings, and can be loud, dirty, and subject to temperature variations. Employees will work within specific departments under the guidance of a supervisor and a set team. Upgrades to the facility are ongoing.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dyer, Indiana.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.40 - $21.40/hr.
