CNC Milling Machinist
**CNC Milling Machinist** Job Description As a CNC Milling Machinist, you will take parts from blueprint to finished product independently. You will receive a drawing, set your own vices, select tooling and material, and download the appropriate program to machine the part. Parts can vary in size from 2 inches to 24 inches, primarily made of stainless steel. Responsibilities + Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings. + Collaborate directly with engineering to enhance machining processes. + Perform full machine setups, including changing jaws, touching off tools, and building off tools. + Troubleshoot machines, making adjustments and offsets as needed. + Work with CMX 1100s and maintain tolerances of +- .0005. + Conduct first piece inspections using CMM machines and various gauging tools such as air gauges, height gauges, calipers, and micrometers. Essential Skills + Minimum of 2 years of CNC Milling experience. + Experience setting up machines and working with vertical mills. + Ability to perform changeovers, adjustments, setup fixtures, lock out vices, read blueprints, and swap tooling. + Proficiency with Fanuc or Mitsubishi controls. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 5+ years of CNC Vertical milling experience in an Aerospace company is preferred. + Experience with Mastercam software for program edits is a plus. + Familiarity with HAAS, Mazak, and other preferred brands. + Experience with 3-5 axis machines and working with materials like stainless steel, mild steel, and carbon steel. Work Environment Work in a meticulously clean and organized shop floor equipped with five vertical milling centers and five 3-5 axis turning centers. The facility is well-lit, smoke-free, and features advanced technologies and equipment, providing a productive and pleasant work environment. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
