Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Location: On-site | Day Shift

About the Opportunity

We’re seeking a skilled CNC Mill Machinist to join our growing and well-equipped machine shop. This role focuses on setting up and operating 3- and 4-axis CNC milling machines to produce high-quality, precision parts. You’ll work from blueprints, take ownership of your setups, and collaborate with a supportive, experienced team. If you enjoy hands-on machining, problem-solving, and working in a clean, modern shop, this is a great opportunity to put your skills to work.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Set up and operate 3- and 4-axis CNC mills

• Machine precision parts to specification using blueprints and work orders

• Perform occasional manual machining (Bridgeport mills, drill presses, surface grinders, lathes)

• Select, build, and set tooling (drills, taps, end mills, etc.)

• Use edge finders, indicators, calipers, and micrometers for accurate setups

• Work with materials including aluminum and mild steel

• Maintain quality, safety, and productivity standards

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in CNC mill setup and operation

• Experience with vertical and horizontal machining centers

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T

• Familiarity with Fanuc controls preferred

• Comfortable using precision measuring tools

• Detail-oriented with pride in quality workmanship

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
