**Job Title: Mill Machinist**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Set-up Technician to join our team for the day shift from 7am to 3:30pm. The ideal candidate will possess intermediate to journeyman-level CNC mill machining experience and be process-oriented with a strong sense of urgency to meet critical deadlines.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform short-run, precision CNC machining, responsible for first runs.
+ Set up and operate CNC and machining centers to fabricate precision machined metallic and non-metallic parts.
+ Specialize in setting up mill turn sub-spindle live tooling lathes with minimal or no supervision from start to finish, while operating the machine to utilize the entire spectrum of the machine tool capabilities.
+ Work closely with Programming and Manufacturing Manager to provide constant feedback on cycle time reduction and machine optimization while manufacturing quality parts on time and to customer specifications.
+ Provide guidance and instruct other machine operators, machinists, or other personnel as assigned.
+ Provide input to programmers and other technical personnel.
+ Program CNC machines and machining centers utilizing CAD and CAM software as required.
+ Collaborate with other personnel/departments to provide input and integration with machining, CNC programming, CMM programming, engineering, inspection, manufacturing, and quality personnel.
+ Ensure efficient production, on-time delivery, and that the quality of products meets customer specifications.
**Essential Skills**
+ Intermediate to journeyman-level CNC mill machining experience.
+ Ability to review and study CAD drawings, models, blueprints, sketches, and manuals.
+ Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machining equipment.
+ Knowledge of CNC programs, offsets, and other data/information.
+ Skill in selecting, aligning, and securing work holding/fixtures, cutting tools, and accessories.
+ Experience in proving out CNC programs and providing feedback for corrections and improvements.
+ Familiarity with calibrated measuring and test equipment for inspection verification.
+ Capacity to monitor and maintain machine coolants, lubricants, oils, fluids, and grease.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with 5-axis CNC mill.
+ Knowledge of Mastercam or newer software.
+ Understanding of Renishaw probe systems.
+ Experience with Mazak CNCs is a plus.
+ Willingness to consider candidates with 4-axis experience.

**Work Environment**
Work in a clean machining facility equipped with over 10 CNC machines, with two more under construction. The location is newly established, adding a clean room and QC area. Collaborate with a team of 5 programmers and machinists during the day shift in a supportive and encouraging environment.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TUALATIN, Oregon.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
