CNC Mill Machinist
**Job Title: Mill Machinist** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Set-up Technician for the swing shift. The ideal candidate will possess the technical expertise to set up and operate CNC and machining centers to fabricate precision machined parts. This role requires adherence to established processes and a commitment to meeting critical deadlines. **Responsibilities** + Perform short run, precision CNC machining and oversee first runs. + Set up and operate CNC and machining centers to fabricate precision machined metallic and non-metallic parts. + Specialize in setting up mill turn sub spindle live tooling lathes with minimal supervision. + Work closely with Programming and Manufacturing Manager to provide feedback on cycle time reduction and machine optimization. + Provide guidance and instruction to other machine operators and machinists. + Offer input to programmers and other technical personnel. + Program CNC machines and machining centers using CAD and CAM software as assigned. + Collaborate with departments to ensure efficient production and quality assurance. + Ensure efficient production, on-time delivery, and quality products that meet customer specifications. **Essential Skills** + Intermediate to Journeyman level CNC Mill Machining Experience. + Process-oriented with the ability to adapt to established processes. + Sense of urgency to meet critical deadlines. + Experience in setting up and operating CNC machining equipment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with 5-axis CNC mills. + Knowledge of Mastercam software. + Familiarity with Renishaw probe systems. + Experience with Mazak CNC's is a plus. **Why Work Here?** Join a state-of-the-art facility continuously investing in cutting-edge CNC technology. The workspace includes a new clean room and QC area. The day shift comprises a collaborative team of 5 programmers and machinists, fostering a supportive and innovative atmosphere. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TUALATIN, Oregon. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
