CNC Mill Machinist (5-Axis) – Swing Shift

Location: Auburn, Washington

Job Type: Contract to Hire

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Mill Machinist to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This position focuses on the operation of 5-axis CNC Mills during the swing shift, supporting the production of complex aerospace and space components.

Key Responsibilities:Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications.Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gages, and height gages.Apply basic math, geometry, and trigonometry in machining operations.Set up machines with pallets, vises, tombstones, and fixtures.Operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis vertical and horizontal CNC Mills.Required Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC machinist.Proficiency in 5-axis CNC mill operations.Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing environments.Familiarity with Makino MAG3 machines is preferred.Experience working with aluminum and defense-related components is a plus.Company Benefits:Privately owned company with a supportive and engaged leadership team.Average employee tenure of 14 years.401(k) plan with 3% company match.Comprehensive health, dental, and life insurance coverage.Positive work culture with regular team engagement and internal promotion opportunities.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $40.00/hr.
