**Job Title: Maintenance Technician II**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II with expertise in CNC maintenance to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines, ensuring operational efficiency and productivity.
**Responsibilities**
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot CNC machines to determine the necessary repairs.
+ Perform repairs on both mechanical and electrical components of CNC machines.
+ Work with ball screws, bearings, and machine tool geometry to make necessary adjustments.
+ Conduct spiral and gear box rebuilds, test bar, draw bar, and forceguard operations.
+ Utilize hand and pneumatic tools effectively for milling, drilling, and reaming tasks.
+ Engage in CNC electrical troubleshooting and PLC ladder logic reading.
+ Interpret blueprints, geometric tolerances, and CMM reports.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a CNC Maintenance Technician.
+ Proficient in diagnosing and repairing CNC machines.
+ Strong understanding of mechanical or electrical components.
+ Experience with electrical troubleshooting from 24V to 480V.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and geometric tolerances.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with Siemens Controls or similar systems.
+ Familiarity with G&L or Cincinnati machines, Giddings & Lewis Boring Mills, and Cincinnati Mills.
+ Any formal schooling or education is considered a plus.

**Work Environment**
Work in a manufacturing facility with large parts and a machine shop production environment. Initially, work Monday to Friday 8-hour shifts, transitioning to an AWS schedule once the project is fully staffed. Be prepared for physical demands, including standing, walking, climbing, and lifting over 50 pounds. The environment may expose employees to hazardous materials, loud noise, and greasy or slippery floors. Employees must be comfortable working in a factory setting with potential exposure to outside weather conditions and electrical shock risks.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Decatur, Illinois.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
