Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description

ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the installation and maintenance of equipment.Inspect, lubricate, and perform preventive/predictive maintenance.React to unplanned maintenance needs for production equipment and general maintenance of utilities, buildings, and grounds.Develop and enhance maintenance methods and procedures.Work with other groups and individuals to promote a team environment.Involve in the quality, inspection, assembly, integration, testing, and installation of equipment.Maintain documentation, such as test histories, ensuring they are complete and up to date.Analyze and solve electrical and mechanical problems limiting productive capacity of equipment.Make recommendations to modify or replace equipment when necessary to support demand or improve productivity.Perform all work in a manner that ensures the safety of self and others, paying particular attention to lock out / tag out requirements.Responsible for the Environmental Management System functions as identified in the maintenance schedule, or as assigned.Possess basic math and problem-solving abilities.Ensure that all responsibilities and functions performed are in accordance with company policy/procedures and meet required quality standards.Monitor workmanship and work instructions to ensure compliance with the Quality System.Conduct all preventative maintenance.Assist operators and machinists as required.Advise supervisor of conduct that may violate rules, policies, and procedures.Familiar with performing machine PM's.Recognize potential for dangerous situations; use safe work practices.Utilize behavior-based safety methods to sustain a safe working environment.Maintain the highest ethical and work standards, while promoting the same attributes in co-workers and others.Other duties as assigned.Essential Skills5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.2+ years of CNC maintenance machinery experience.PLC troubleshooting experience (only inputs and outputs).Blueprint and schematic interpretation experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsWelding (MIG and/or TIG).Manual Fabrication (Manual mills, lathes, drill presses).Facilities maintenance (HVAC, Boilers).Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The environment is climate-controlled, organized, and clean throughout the facility. The position operates on a 1st shift from 7:30 am to 5 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Wheeling, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $79000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
