Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up, check programs, and operate CNC machining equipment. You will work with horizontal 3-axis OKK machines and utilize CAM/CAD software, primarily Solidworks and Mastercam, to maintain precise tolerances. The role involves loading parts, cycling machines, and detecting malfunctions such as worn or damaged cutting tools.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC machining equipment, specifically horizontal 3-axis OKK machines.Edit CAM/CAD programs using Solidworks and Mastercam.Ensure tight tolerances of .0005 are maintained.Load parts into machines and monitor machine cycles.Identify and troubleshoot malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools.

Essential Skills

Experience with CNC mills, including tool changes, setups, and offsets.Proficiency in CAD/CAM software with editing capabilities.Ability to read blueprints and perform CNC programming.Experience with Solidworks and Mastercam programming.Strong computer skills and troubleshooting abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma.Quick learning ability and willingness to improve.Experience with quality inspection using dial gauges.Familiarity with OKK machines and Fanuc controls.Experience in the plastic injection mold industry.Understanding of process changes and continuous improvement.

Work Environment

You will work in a facility with a dress code requiring safety glasses and steel toe boots. The company consists of 115 people and offers opportunities for growth. We have a 2nd shift opening with a schedule from 4 PM to 2:30 AM, and Saturdays are optional, with an average workweek of 50 hours.

This is a Permanent position based out of Fraser, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $58240.00/yr.
