**Job Title: CNC Machinist** **Job Description** Are you enthusiastic about CNC machining and precision manufacturing? We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our Metal Cutting & Turning Operations team as a Machinist. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining efficient production by setting up and operating a range of CNC equipment, including turning machines and both vertical and horizontal machining centers. This position requires strong hand-eye coordination, frequent use of both hands and arms for repetitive tasks, and a commitment to quality that will directly contribute to the success of the team. **Responsibilities** + Read blueprints and follow specific instructions and procedures. + Organize, prioritize, and plan daily work assignments in a self-directed changing environment. + Utilize shop math effectively. + Proficiently use measuring equipment such as height gauges, micrometers, and calipers. + Understand metal-cutting applications and machine practices. + Handle piece parts ranging in weight from 1lb. to 25 lbs. + Deburr and clean parts using various hand and power tools such as a belt sander or drill press. + Inspect parts visually and with various measurement tools, including height gauges and micrometers. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of CNC machining experience. + 1+ year of CNC setup experience. + Experience with one of these machines: Mazak, Okuma, Haas. + Mill and/or lathe experience. + Blueprint reading experience. + Proficiency with precision measuring tools: micrometers and calipers. + High school diploma or GED. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + CNC vocational schooling. + GD&T experience. + Experience with both lathe and mill CNC machines. **Why Work Here** Join an employee-owned company that offers a comprehensive benefits package including BlueCross BlueShield health insurance, dental and vision coverage, 401K with company match, and eligibility for company stock after three years of employment. The role involves working 2nd shift from 4:30pm to 1am, with overtime averaging 5 to 10 hours per week. While some Saturdays may be required, employees will be informed ahead of time, and it will not be mandatory. **Job Type & Location** This position is based out of Palatine, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
