Position Summary

We are looking for a CNC Machinist with strong experience in setup and operation of both CNC lathes and mills. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and capable of interpreting complex blueprints and engineering drawings. You will be responsible for setting up machines, selecting tooling, adjusting offsets, and ensuring parts meet tight tolerances.

Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce precision components.Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.Perform first article inspections and in-process quality checks using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.Adjust machine settings, offsets, and feeds/speeds to optimize performance.Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues independently.Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards.Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and quality control to ensure production goals are met.Qualifications3+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience (both lathes and mills).Proven ability to set up machines from scratch (not just operate).Strong understanding of G-code, tooling, and machining principles.Experience with Fanuc, Haas, or similar CNC controls.Ability to work from blueprints and hold tight tolerances (+/- .0005”).Familiarity with quality inspection tools and procedures.High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification is a plus.Preferred SkillsExperience with multi-axis machining or live tooling.Familiarity with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360).Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement mindset.Forklift or crane operation certification.What We OfferCompetitive hourly wage + overtime opportunities.Health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) with company match.Paid time off and holidays.Opportunities for advancement and training.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.
