This role is responsible for developing precise computer programs to operate CNC lathe machines, ensuring high-quality production of metal components that meet customer specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong experience interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints, generating G-code, and optimizing machine setup and performance. **Key Responsibilities:** + Create accurate CNC programs for lathe machines using engineering drawings and blueprints. + Translate design specifications into G-code to control the cutting and shaping of metal parts. + Select and set up appropriate tools, fixtures, and machine parameters for each job. + Perform initial test runs and make necessary adjustments to ensure parts meet dimensional and quality requirements. + Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and quality control to resolve any issues related to programming or production. + Continuously optimize programs and processes for efficiency, accuracy, and tool life. + Maintain organized records of programs, tooling setups, and production notes.
