**Job Title: CNC Machinist - Night Shift**
**Job Description**
Join our team as a CNC Machinist on the night shift, where you will set up and operate CNC machining centers and manual lathe and milling centers. You will adjust tool and fixture offsets to achieve precise material tolerances, interpret work instructions and drawings, and use precision measuring equipment to ensure product quality.
**Responsibilities**
+ Set up and operate CNC machining centers and manual lathe and milling centers.
+ Adjust tool and fixture offsets to achieve documented material tolerances.
+ Read and interpret work instructions and product/component drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances.
+ Follow work order instructions and accurately record task times.
+ Use precision measuring equipment to check parts in accordance with engineering documents.
+ Maintain cleanliness and service of work area and machines.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ 5 – 10 years machining experience in moderate to high volume production environments.
+ 2 - 5 years programming experience preferred; experience with MasterCam is a plus.
+ Experience in setting up, operating, and adjusting both manual and CNC lathe machines.
+ Capability to inspect parts using micrometers, gage pins, thread gauges, digital/analog indicators, surface plates, calipers, and other tools.
+ Ability to read and comprehend production Bill of Materials and production orders.
+ Ability to use production drawings and instructions to accomplish tasks.
+ Must be a team player, professional, and driven to achieve first-time accuracy.
+ Ability to work under pressure without creating workplace disruptions.
+ Strong verbal communication skills.
+ Self-motivated and reliable.

**Work Environment**
This position requires working the night shift from 10pm to 6:30am, Monday through Friday. The work environment is equipped with advanced CNC and manual machining centers, and employees are expected to maintain a clean and serviced workspace.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Leandro, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
