Job Title: CNC Machinist (Day Shift Mill)
Job Description

Join our Machining Department as a CNC Machinist where you will play a key role in operating and setting up various CNC machines, primarily focusing on mills. You will machine plastics and steel while ensuring quality control and maintaining a clean workspace.

ResponsibilitiesSet-up and operate various CNC machines, including some lathe operations.Machine plastics and steel to precise specifications.Determine tooling, tool-paths, setup methods, and fixtures to produce parts efficiently.Edit and program using Mastercam software.Organize the workflow within the production area.Conduct quality control checks to ensure high standards.Read and analyze blueprints accurately.Maintain a clean and organized workspace.Essential Skills3-5 years of experience as a CNC machinist, specifically with mill machines.Fluency in Mastercam Software for editing and programming.Proficient in setting up mills and occasionally lathes.Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.Additional Skills & QualificationsForklift experience is a plus.Willingness to work afternoon shifts for coverage.Soft skills including willingness to learn, good attitude, reliability, punctuality, and enthusiasm.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic machine shop department equipped with HAAS CNC mills. Collaborate closely with a multicultural team in a plastics production facility. Benefit from open production floor spaces with proper ventilation, ideal for those without plastic allergies. The team consists of approximately 50 employees, fostering a go-go-go culture with strong communication skills required. The shift hours are Monday to Thursday, 5am-3:30pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Langley Township, British Columbia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
