**Job Title: Machinist and Programmer** Job Description The candidate will be responsible for operating a Haas CNC Mill and/or Lathe. They must be able to interpret blueprints for specific parts and machine them accordingly. The role requires proficiency in setups, as production quantities can range from 1 to 20 parts. Precision is crucial, with tolerances held up to thousandths. The machinist is expected to conduct quality checks on their work using dial micrometers and calipers. Responsibilities + Operate and set up Haas CNC Mill and/or Lathe. + Read and interpret blueprints to machine parts accurately. + Perform setups for production runs of varying quantities. + Maintain precision with tolerances up to thousandths. + Conduct quality checks on produced parts using dial micrometers and calipers. Essential Skills + CNC Mill setup and operation + Blueprint reading + Experience with micrometers and calipers + Possession of own tools Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with Manual Mills, Bridgeports, or grinding + CNC Programming experience + Familiarity with Mastercam and Fusion 360 Why Work Here? Work Environment The shop is a smaller facility with two attached buildings housing 2-3 CNC machines, 1 CMM machine, and various manual machines including Bridgeports. Tooling and drill tips are readily available on the floor. The building is older with some natural lighting but is not climate controlled. Working hours are Monday through Thursday from 6am to 4:30pm. Parking is conveniently located around the building. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Royal Oak, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
