Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist for our machine shop located in Santa Ana, CA. Day shift position (6am-2:30pm) and pay based on experience. Typically $35-$45 but can be higher based on machining experience and any Mastercam programming experience. Candidates must have 4-axis horizontal mill experience (5-axis a plus). Will be working with Kitamura and Okuma machines.
The position requires expertise in setup and operation, manual machining, and quality control. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of machining processes to ensure efficient and accurate production.
ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with Planning, Quality, and Production teams to meet production goals.Setup and operate CNC machines from engineering drawings or customer-supplied .step files.Accurately interpret blueprints to determine machining requirements.Diagnose and resolve machine malfunctions and programming errors.Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements in efficiency and quality.Essential SkillsExtensive experience with 4-axis horizontal mills and a preference for 5-axis experience.Proficiency in CNC setup and operation, including interpreting blueprints and mastercam programming.Ability to select proper cutters, considering speeds, feeds, and control system limitations.Comprehensive knowledge of FANUC, OKUMA, and KITAMURA controls.Strong understanding of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code.Additional Skills & Qualifications10+ years combined experience in machining for a machine shop.Experience in the Aerospace/Defense industry and adherence to industry specifications.Expertise in blueprint interpretation and creation.Experience working with various types of metals.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $93600.00/yr.
