CNC Machinist

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce precision parts according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.Set up CNC machines with a must-have expertise in Fanuc Control; experience with Okuma is a plus.Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues, including tool wear, dimensional deviations, and machine errors.Maintain tight tolerances and surface finishes as required by engineering drawings.Collaborate with engineers and quality control to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency.Perform routine maintenance on machines and ensure a clean, safe work environment.

Essential Skills

5+ years of experience with Lathe Machining and Set up.Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers.Experience with CNC setup and operation.Knowledge of blueprint reading.Familiarity with Fanuc Control is essential.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Okuma is a significant advantage.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Poway, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $40.00/hr.
