CNC Lathe Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to work in a dynamic job shop environment. The role involves interpreting blueprints or engineering drawings to machine parts for conveyor systems. You will also troubleshoot issues due to the custom nature of the equipment. This independent role requires organizing priorities effectively, as you will be the sole machinist on staff, operating a Haas ST-28 CNC Lathe machine.
Responsibilities
Operate, set up, and edit programs for CNC Lathe machines.Read and interpret blueprints for machining tasks.Utilize lathes primarily for machining shafts.Collaborate with other employees to troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues.Essential Skills
5+ years of experience in CNC Lathe Machining.Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.Strong troubleshooting abilities to solve production issues.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma required; Trade School education is a plus.Experience with CNC Programming, G Code, M Code, and Haas machines.Experience with job shop environments and fabrication tools.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Downers Grove, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr.
