Are you enthusiastic about CNC machining and precision manufacturing? We’re looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join our Metal Cutting & Turning Operations team as a Machinist. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining efficient production by setting up and operating a range of CNC equipment, including turning machines and both vertical and horizontal machining centers. **Responsibilities** + Read blueprints and follow specific instructions and procedures. + Organize, prioritize, and plan daily work assignments in a self-directed changing environment. + Apply knowledge of shop math. + Use measuring equipment such as height gauges, micrometers, and calipers proficiently. + Understand metal-cutting applications and machine practices. + Handle piece parts ranging in weight from 1lb. to 25 lbs. + Deburr and clean parts using various hand and power tools such as a belt sander or drill press. + Inspect parts visually and using various measurement tools such as height gauges and micrometers. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of CNC machining experience with Mazak CNC Machines (Mills/lathes). + 1+ year of CNC setup experience. + Experience with Mill and/or lathe machines. + Proficiency in reading blueprints. + Skill in using precision measuring tools: micrometers and calipers. + High School Diploma or GED. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + CNC vocational schooling. + GD&T experience. + Experience with both lathe and Mill CNC Machines. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a comprehensive benefits package including BlueCross BlueShield, dental, and vision insurance. The position is on the 2nd shift from 4:30pm - 1am with opportunities for overtime averaging 5 - 10 hours. Some Saturdays may be worked, with advance notice given, but they are not mandatory. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Palatine, IL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
