Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team on the first shift, working from 6 am to 3:30 pm for 9-hour shifts, and 6 am to 4:30 pm for 10-hour shifts, typically during the week. The role involves working 50-55 hour work weeks. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and running production for CNC turning machines. Additionally, the role requires assisting with complex part programming for multi-spindle, multi-tool turning centers using G and M codes, as well as live tooling.

Responsibilities

Set up and run production for CNC turning lathe machines.Assist with complex part programming for multi-spindle, multi-tool turning centers.Control tooling such as inserts, collets, and more.Understand and be aware of all department machinery capabilities and limitations.Fill out necessary paperwork including routings verification and corrections.Assist in determining tooling and fixturing needs.Coordinate chip collection as needed.Monitor equipment and machines for safety and mechanical issues.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 3 years of setup knowledge with CNC Lathe experience.5+ years of on-the-job experience.Proficiency in machine operating, mechanical skills, and knowledge of turning centers.Experience with Okuma, Hardinge, DMG Mori machines.Ability to work in a job shop environment versus production machining.Blueprint reading and troubleshooting skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Technical or machining courses are desirable.Editing skills are a plus.Ability to lift and carry 20-45 pounds occasionally.Ability to stoop, reach, walk, sit, and stand as required.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.
