CNC Machining Technician
Position Summary
The Machining Technician is responsible for setting up and operating CNC and manual metal fabrication equipment to machine a variety of materials in accordance with specifications, routers, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Mount, align, and secure tooling, attachments, and workpieces on machines.
* Set up and operate CNC machines and machining centers to perform cutting, drilling, milling, reaming, boring, and related operations.
* Perform machining operations as specified on routers and work instructions.
* Load control media and retrieve programmed instructions from the machine controller.
* Calculate and set machine controls including spindle positioning, cutting depth, speed, feed rate, and coolant flow.
* Select, install, and maintain cutting tools.
* Monitor machine operation to ensure safe and efficient performance.
* Adjust machine controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions.
* Measure and verify parts meet blueprint, sketch, and specification requirements using appropriate measurement tools.
* Clean machines and tooling after use.
* Maintain housekeeping standards and apply 6S principles in work areas.
* Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Follow all quality systems, operating procedures, safety rules, and regulations.
* Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Two years of college or technical school or three years of related machining experience preferred.
* Strong mechanical aptitude and cognitive skills.
* Ability to read and understand routers, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, manuals, and specifications.
* Good problem-solving, judgment, and communication skills.
* Basic computer skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Work Environment & Physical Requirements
* Primary work location: Manufacturing floor.
* Requires standing, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling/crouching, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
* Exposure to noise.
* Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
