**Job Title: CNC Machinist**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. The role involves machining quality parts from prints and work orders in a timely and accurate manner within a job shop environment with large machined parts, including weldments. The position requires proficiency in operating various CNC equipment, including large vertical and horizontal mills, and the ability to perform setups and programming at the machine when needed.
**Responsibilities**
+ Operate and maintain CNC equipment, including large vertical and horizontal mills.
+ Perform setups and make necessary adjustments to the machines.
+ Edit programs and set up tools, including setting length offsets.
+ Conduct spot checks to ensure quality standards are met.
+ Read and interpret custom blueprints for one-off custom fabrications.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain productivity.
**Work Environment**
Work in a job shop environment with a total of 10 machinists in the plant, 9 on the first shift and 1 on the second shift. The position is for the second shift, which operates from 3:30 pm to 2 am, with some flexibility in hours and a shift differential of 1.25-1.50. The facility includes two mill machines and a 30-foot-long horizontal machine. Dress code is casual, suitable for a hands-on machining environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, OH.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $58240.00/hr.
