Cnc Machinist
**Job Title: CNC Machinist** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with one to three years of related CNC machining experience. The ideal candidate will work under the direction of the 2nd shift Production Supervisor and will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machinery. This position requires training on the 1st shift or a mid-shift before transitioning to the 2nd shift. **Responsibilities** + Effectively set-up and operate equipment in the CNC machining area under supervision. + Select appropriate cutting tools, tool grades, and set proper speeds and feeds. + Interpret and complete blueprints and schematics based on provided information. + Inspect manufactured parts and perform quality-related statistical analysis. + Conduct routine preventative maintenance to ensure equipment remains operational. + Comply with all safety procedures, including wearing protective clothing and handling chemicals and products safely. + Communicate effectively with employees, suppliers, and customers at all levels. + Adhere to company policies, procedures, standards, and rules. + Maintain ISO standard quality assurance policies. + Keep work area clean, orderly, and safe. + Ensure punctual, regular, and consistent attendance. + Perform other job-related duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + Blueprint interpretation + Machine setup + Program editing + Inspection and quality check + Experience with multi-axis CNC machines + Experience setting up and changing tooling + Ability to read and interpret blueprints, calipers, and micrometers + Knowledge of geometric dimensioning, tolerancing, geometry, and trigonometry + Proficiency with equipment such as Haas, Mazak, and Makino **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or equivalent + CNC certificate preferred + Ability to handle routine projects under supervision + Basic understanding of mathematics + Capability to lift or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally + Ability to stand and be on feet all day + Specific vision requirements include close vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment + Regular exposure to noise, dust, heat, and cold **Why Work Here?** Join a company that offers a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) profit sharing, employee referral bonus programs, and tuition reimbursement. The environment is non-temperature controlled but remains comfortable. The 2nd shift operates from Monday to Thursday, 3:30 PM to 1:00 AM, and Friday, 3:30 PM to 7:30 PM. A 6.5% shift differential applies for the 2nd shift. Training will occur on 1st shift or mid-shift before transitioning to the 2nd shift. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Strongsville, OH. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $32.00/hr.
