**Job Title: CNC Machinist** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to work on machining parts for the automotive, aerospace, and medical industries, ensuring tight tolerances. The ideal candidate will be proficient in editing programs, selecting proper tooling, understanding Fanuc controls, reading blueprints, and using measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers. The role requires the ability to zero out X-Y and Z axes before starting a new job and perform tool touch offs to set proper tooling height from the XYZ axis. **Responsibilities** + Operate and manage CNC machines, focusing on boring mills. + Edit CNC programs and select appropriate tooling. + Understand and work with Fanuc controls. + Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. + Use measurement tools like micrometers and calipers to ensure precision. + Zero out X-Y and Z axes before initiating new jobs. + Perform tool touch offs to set tooling heights accurately. **Essential Skills** + Experience with boring mills. + Proficiency in CNC machining. + Ability to program using Vizi, Work NC, or Mastercam. + Familiarity with Fanuc controls or similar programming. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with VISI software. + Proficiency with horizontal boring mills and CNC machines. + Knowledge of machine setup and programming. **Why Work Here?** Join a leading company at the forefront of aerospace industry parts and tooling. The role involves working in a machine shop environment, which may include exposure to grease and dirt, as well as handling large equipment with overhead cranes and hi-lo experience. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wayland, MI. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
