**Job Title: CNC Machinist** **Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe/Mill Machinist to join our team. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, editing and understanding programming, adjusting speeds and feeds, setting up machines with appropriate fixtures and jigs, and ensuring parts meet exact specifications. The ideal candidate will be adept at planning machining operations, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances, and performing basic machining math.
**Responsibilities**
+ Read, interpret, and understand blueprints and drawings, including symbols, welding symbols, material type, and material shape.
+ Plan machining operations by studying work orders, blueprints, drawings, specifications, and machining parameters.
+ Perform basic machining math, including fractional/decimal conversion, basic trigonometry, and calculating dimensions and tolerances.
+ Properly set up and operate CNC Lathe and machine parts/components to required specifications.
+ Utilize machining tools such as high-speed drills, carbide drills, high-speed taps, roll forming taps, and reaming.
+ Edit and program Mill utilizing HAAS Controller.
+ Plan and perform a wide variety of diversified close tolerance Mill operations.
**Essential Skills**
+ At least 3 to 5 years of experience working with a CNC Lathe and setting up.
+ Experience with short production runs, multiple set-ups, and changeovers per day.
+ Ability to read blueprints and/or programming with HAAS Controller.
+ Experience with conversational programming and/or G-Code.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Trade School education preferred but not required.
+ Experience with CNC Lathe/Mill Experience (Haas controlled), Fanuc, Okuma.
+ Proficiency in tooling, milling, and programming using Mastercam and Solidworks.
+ Familiarity with Gd&t, CAD/CAM, and G&M codes.

**Work Environment**
The company occupies a brand-new, state-of-the-art 256,000 square foot facility that houses all departments under one roof. With 230 employees, the environment fosters collaboration and innovation. Consistent overtime is offered, with opportunities to work between 50 and 60 hours as needed. **Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wood Dale, IL.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
