**Job Title: Machinist** **Job Description** The Machinist will set up, operate, and adjust various types of conventional or automatic machines, including CNC machines, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other precision equipment. The role may also involve assisting Manufacturing Team Members in the setup of machines. **Responsibilities** + Perform a wide variety of setups and operations on CNC Machines. + Write and edit programs as needed to meet overall requirements. + Operate 2-5 axis machines, including Horizontals, Verticals, lathes, and a 5-axis Integrex. + Read drawings and prints to create parts. + Change machines over multiple times per shift in a custom machining environment. + Use micrometers and calipers to check the quality of parts. + Handle changeovers without assistance and understand CNC machine logic. + Write basic programs and post-edit CNC programs for optimal performance. + Read, find errors, and troubleshoot programs. + Set up jobs, run jobs, and inspect parts. + Detect worn tools and replace tooling as appropriate. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in CNC programming, setup, and machining. + Experience with G-Codes and G&M Codes. + Ability to read blueprints and use micrometers and calipers. + Familiarity with HAAS, MORI SEIKI, MAZAK, BROTHERS, MITSUBISHI, and BRIDGEPORT machines. + 4+ years of CNC machining experience or a CNC tech degree. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma or Trade School for CNC is preferred. + Experience with lathe operations and tooling. **Why Work Here?** Join a company that offers growth opportunities through pay increases and the addition of new machines, fostering an environment ripe for career advancement. **Work Environment** Work in a temperature-controlled and clean environment with a supportive team. The role involves a 3rd shift schedule from 10 pm to 6:30 am, usually working 9-10 hour shifts, six days a week. The facility has 125 employees and produces power and manual clamps. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Juliet, TN. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
