Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled machinist to join our precision metal fabrication company, which serves industries such as Aerospace, Medical, Appliance, Defense Contracting, and Architectural. Our machinists produce parts for various high-profile clients and projects, including those that support US Military and National Defense Contracts. Candidates will be responsible for setting up and running jobs efficiently and maintaining quality standards using a variety of machinery, including Mazak and Swiss machines.

Responsibilities

Set up and run production jobs, ensuring quality and efficiency standards are met.Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machinery.Work off of blueprints to create precise parts.Interpret data from Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and manual measurements, making necessary adjustments to machining processes.Edit programs directly at the machine.Handle multiple set-ups and edit programs for 5-axis machines.Lift up to 25 pounds, utilizing lifts for heavier loads.

Work Environment

Our shop operates on a flexible schedule with shifts including: 1st Shift (Monday-Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm), 2nd Shift (Monday-Thursday, 3:30pm-2:00am), and Weekend Shift (Friday-Sunday, 2:00pm-2:30am). Optional overtime is available, with opportunities to work 5-10 extra hours based on shift and order volume. The shop maintains a climate-controlled environment, requiring steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection. With a workforce of 100 people, our facility ensures a safe and productive space for all employees.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
