**Job Title: CNC Machinist** Job Description The CNC Machinist is responsible for operating machine tools to produce precision metal parts, ensuring that each product meets precise specifications. Responsibilities + Operate machine tools such as saws, lathes, milling machines, and grinders to produce metal parts. + Review electronic or written blueprints. + Calculate where to cut or bore using measuring devices. + Position the workpiece accurately for cutting. + Determine the speed at which the workpiece is fed into the machine. + Decide how much material to remove. + Select appropriate tools and materials for each task. + Plan the sequence of cutting and finishing operations. + Change out tooling blades as necessary. Essential Skills + Experience with CNC machining, CNC mill, and CNC lathe. + Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints. + Familiarity with drill press, shear, and machine operation. + 2+ years of CNC machining experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Preferably hold a 2-year vocational degree. + Welding experience is preferred. + Strong mechanical aptitude. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a manufacturing shop that includes welding, machining, assembly, packing, and shipping. The environment is non-climate controlled, and employees are required to wear PPE such as steel toes, safety glasses, and jeans. The primary shift runs from 6am to 2:30pm, but flexibility is required to accommodate shifts between 5am and 4:30pm, including some Saturdays. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, Kansas. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
