Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

This position is for a CNC Machinist. You will be expected to perform full setups and work on a variety of turning machines using G-Code.

Your ability to calculate speeds and feeds for various materials, hold tight tolerances of +/- .0005, and proficiency in using inspection equipment such as micrometers and calipers are essential.

You will also need to read and understand blueprints, specifications, job routings, geometric dimensions, and tolerances to plan daily machining tasks.

Responsibilities

Perform full setups on CNC lathe machines using G-Code.Calculate speeds and feeds for a variety of materials.Maintain tight tolerances of +/- .0005.Use inspection equipment proficiently, including micrometers and calipers.Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and job routings.Plan daily machining tasks based on geometric dimensions and tolerances.Troubleshoot and operate CNC lathe machines effectively.Apply knowledge of tooling and different applications as needed.Complete setups required for parts, including work holding.

Essential Skills

4 years minimum experience as a CNC Lathe setup and operator (G-Code).Experience in blueprint reading, setup, and mill operations.Proficiency in troubleshooting and operating CNC machines.Programming skills, particularly with Solidworks and CAD/CAM.Understanding of GD&T.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge of machining processes and equipment.Experience with CNC lathe and mill operations.Ability to work with geometric dimensions and tolerances.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $33.00/hr.
