Job Description

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of fixtures and components for packaging and related equipment. You will support and assist the Production department with your technical expertise and play a key role in the repair and maintenance of production machine parts on an as-needed basis. Your role will also involve assisting the production and maintenance departments with equipment repairs and seeking continual improvements in the fabrication process and production machinery.

Responsibilities

Fabricate and assemble fixtures and components for packaging and related equipment.Support and assist the Production department with technical expertise.Repair and maintain production machine parts as required.Assist production and maintenance departments with equipment repairs.Make necessary repairs to damaged or worn production equipment parts.Seek improvements in the fabrication process and production machinery.Support regular and consistent clean-up time on a weekly basis.Support liquid department and warehouse with repairs to damaged machines.

Essential Skills

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Knowledge of CNC machine operation.Proficiency in using Feature Cam.Ability to assemble machinery and machine components.Knowledge in using all machine shop tools for fabrication.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in setup and drawing using Feature Cam for CNC milling.Operation of CNC lathe and conventional milling machines.Operation of surface grinders and conventional lathes.Experience in cutting and bending sheet metal.Understanding of shop safety and basic math skills.Preference for skills in welding, drilling, and tapping.
