Join our dynamic team as a 1st Shift Machinist, where you will set up and operate CNC machinery while collaborating with a dedicated team to inspect parts. This role requires basic CNC machine operating skills or experience with manual milling machines.
ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC Major Mill/Bridge Mill.Utilize basic CNC machine operating skills or manual milling machine experience.Demonstrate knowledge of CNC machining G-code and M-code.Calculate dimensions and tolerances using mathematics (GD&T).Understand machining tooling for various types of machining processes.Maintain excellent communication, problem-solving, team interface, and interpersonal skills.
Essential SkillsProficiency in blueprint reading and setup.Experience as a machinist with CNC mill operations.Skillful use of calipers and GD&T.Ability to calculate dimensions and tolerances using GD&T.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & QualificationsKnowledge of Okuma OSP, Fanuc, and Siemens control systems is a plus.Basic knowledge of and operation of 3 to 5 axis CNC machines.Experience with hand and power tools such as impact wrenches and grinding tools.Proficiency with metric measuring instruments and systems.Skillful use of test and dial indicators, calipers, precision square, and metal scale ruler.Basic understanding of materials and material properties.Ability to read and comprehend blueprints.
