CNC Machinist
Job Title: MachinistJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team and contribute to the manufacturing of high-quality aerospace parts. You will be working with a variety of materials and machines to produce precision components. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong mechanical aptitude.

ResponsibilitiesMachine a wide variety of parts, ranging in size from 1 inch to 10 inches, including pistons and cylinders.Maintain tight tolerances, working primarily with stainless and mild steel, with some titanium and aluminum.Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, hobs, and precision grinders.Use machinist’s hand tools and precision measuring instruments to perform standard shop computations.Operate both manual and numerically controlled machines, utilizing G code language and DNC control software like Predator.Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical processes or VIP.Prepare machines for production by inspecting parts for malfunctions and troubleshooting as needed.Regulate machining by setting and adjusting controls, utilizing knowledge of machine instrumentation.Meet production deadlines by following manufacturing schedules and resolving production issues.

Work Environment

The manufacturing facility operates with a wide array of machines, supporting major aerospace clients. The work schedule is from Sunday to Thursday, 3rd shift from 10 PM to 6:30 AM, with a 15% shift premium. Training will occur during the day, transitioning to the third shift. Opportunities to move to day shifts are available with seniority. The facility is committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of YAKIMA, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
