Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Technician/Machinist to join our team in Ann Arbor. You will work from 5am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, operating state-of-the-art machinery and ensuring the production of high-quality parts.
Responsibilities
Operate a 3-axis CNC mill to deliver parts meeting machine, quality, and production specifications, including zero start, tool changes, loading and unloading, and part washing and deburring.Provide standard mill preventative maintenance such as cleaning chips, changing filters, and maintaining fluid levels according to manufacturer recommendations.Use a laser cutter and perform deburring and prepping of sheet metal, delivering parts to meet quality and production specifications.Monitor and maintain inventory for machining tools and materials, coordinating needs with production, engineering, and supply chain.Keep production Kanban bins stocked, ensuring parts are ready for production and coordinate with the production supervisor and supply chain for part priorities.Maintain the mill room and materials in accordance with 5S and safety protocols.Perform drilling and tapping operations using standard machining practices.Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Record data accurately and maintain high precision in documentation.Participate as a positive and respectful team member, effectively communicating and taking direction as needed.Exercise independent judgment within primary job functions and communicate any issues to maintain successful operations.Be punctual and present for work, as reliability is critical in this position.Lift up to 50 pounds periodically and perform various physical activities such as sitting, standing, squatting, bending, walking, lifting, kneeling, crawling, reaching, and using fine motor skills and vision.Essential Skills
Experience with mill operation, specifically operating a 3-axis CNC mill for over 1 year.Ability to perform preventative maintenance on machinery.Skills in machine operation and programming, including CNC machining, lathe, and grinding.Proficient in CAM programming and axis mill operation.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $42.00/hr.
