**Job Title: CNC Machinist - Night Shift** Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. In this role, you will work with a boring mill and machining parts for the auto, aerospace, and medical industries, maintaining tight tolerances. You must be adept at editing CNC programs, selecting appropriate tooling, understanding Fanuc controls, and reading blueprints. Proficiency in using measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers is essential. Additionally, you will need to zero out the X-Y and Z axes before starting new jobs and perform tool touch-offs to set proper tooling heights. Responsibilities + Edit CNC programs and select the proper tooling. + Understand and operate Fanuc controls. + Read and interpret blueprints accurately. + Utilize measurement tools like micrometers and calipers. + Zero out X-Y and Z axes before starting new jobs. + Perform tool touch-offs to set proper tooling height from XYZ axis. Essential Skills + Experience with boring mills and CNC machining. + Proficiency in programming using Vizi, Work NC, or Mastercam. + Knowledge of Fanuc controls or other CNC programming languages. + Ability to read blueprints and perform precise measurements. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with horizontal boring mills and CNC operations. + Familiarity with VISI software. + Capable of working in a machine shop environment. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is for the night shift, running from 3:30 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday to Friday. Training will initially occur on the 1st shift, from 6 AM to 4 PM, until you are comfortable with the process. The work environment is a machine shop setting, characterized by grease and dirt, and involves working with large equipment, including overhead cranes. A 10% shift premium is provided in addition to the base pay. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wayland, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr.
