Job Description

We are seeking skilled CNC machinists or operators to join our team for the first shift in a large machine shop located in Santa Ana. This position involves working with both mill and lathe setups. The ideal candidate will have experience with Haas or Mori Mill machines and be able to set up and operate CNC lathes or mills for short to mid-run production.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes or mills according to established procedures.Read and interpret blueprints, including geometric dimensioning and tolerances.Adjust machine settings to complete tasks according to specifications and tolerances.Check parts with calipers and micrometers to ensure precision.Implement instructions and programs using independent judgment.Plan and accomplish tasks, potentially directing and leading the work of others.Participate in and/or provide continuous training for all machines and tooling.Maintain and track all parts and tooling required for production, including repair and cleaning.Complete necessary operations and record them on shop routers as required.

Essential Skills

Experience with CNC lathe and mill machines.Ability to set up and operate CNC machines.Proficiency with tooling, micrometers, calipers, and programming.Experience with Haas lathe/mill machines and/or Mori Mill machines.Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerances.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience running multiple machines with 1-3 setups.Familiarity with Mastercam software.

Work Environment

This position is for the first shift, starting at 5 am and consisting of 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday. The work environment is a bustling CNC machine shop equipped with approximately 15-20 CNC lathes, including Okuma and Doosan lathes, and 7 CNC mills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
