Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

Join a dynamic custom machine shop where you'll be involved in CNC mill set-up, operation, changeover, and troubleshooting. This is not a high-volume production facility; rather, it's a place for crafting unique parts with precision and care. Your expertise in editing basic CNC programs will be crucial in executing varied tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

Perform CNC mill set-up, operation, and changeover, averaging 3-5 setups daily.Edit and troubleshoot CNC programs to ensure efficient operations.Order and select the proper tooling according to machine specifications.Set up machines and make necessary edits to the CNC machines.Run CNC machines with precision to produce custom parts.Conduct hands-on tasks during the interview to demonstrate tool touch-off capabilities.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 5 years experience as a Machinist, focusing on setups, changeovers, and CNC edits.Ability to perform multiple setups per day and select own tools.Proficiency in editing CNC machines and knowledge of G code.Experience with motion codes and work offsets.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Certifications in a related field for entry-level candidates eager to learn and succeed.Ability to explain various G codes and their applications.Experience with SolidWorks, GIBB, CAM, and CNC programming.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $29.00/hr.
