Job Description

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various CNC machines using Fanuc controllers, including3, 4, and 5-axis operations. You’ll perform high-quality, low-volume machining of metal, composite, and graphite parts in a structured aerospace production environment. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprints, shop math, G-Code, and the ability to transfer files to numeric controllers.

Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC production machine toolsSelect and mount appropriate tooling for machining operationsDetermine feed rates and operating speeds for efficient machiningPerform cut-off, trimming, countersinking, drilling, and other operationsVerify dimensional accuracy using calipers, micrometers, and gaugesInterpret blueprints and technical drawingsApply shop math to ensure precisionTransfer computer files to numeric controllersMonitor machine operations and adjust as neededConduct routine maintenance and cleaning of machinesIdentify and report machine or product quality issuesMaintain accurate documentation including production logs and inspection recordsEssential Skills & Qualifications3–5 yearsof CNC machining experienceProficiency withFanuc controllers(3 and 5-axis)Ability to read and interpret work instructions and technical diagramsStrong knowledge of G-CodeExperience with metal, composite, and graphite materialsPreferred QualificationsWorking knowledge of CAM software such as Mastercam and VerisurfMachining Certificate preferredBachelor’s Degree plus 5 years’ experience, or 10 years total experience in the field, or 5 years’ experience with 5-axis machiningWhy Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47840.00 - $66560.00/yr.
