**Job Title: CNC Machinist** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and overseeing CNC machines to ensure the efficient production of high-quality parts. This role requires an individual who can modify, edit, and adjust CNC programs to optimize production and efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of quality. **Responsibilities** + Check work instructions, material type, and size to ensure accurate job setup. + Receive, load, and adjust CNC Programs for optimal production. + Multi-task and oversee multiple machines to maximize efficiency. + Manufacture or select appropriate tooling and fixtures for job completion. + Run production including secondary operations on various machinery. + Visually inspect production for defects and ensure surface finish quality. + Perform product quality checks using measuring equipment. + Count, mark, and pack parts as needed. + Perform mechanical tasks like loading and unloading vises and parts. + Return tools to Tool crib and measuring equipment to Quality Department. + Communicate instructions and oversee jobs run by lower-skilled personnel. + Maintain a neat and orderly work area. + Complete Operations Sheet and other documents accurately. + Use Real-Time Data Collection for working hours and production logging. + Work with Lead or Engineering to ensure accurate setup and run times. + Comply with company and machine safety policies and procedures. + Work in accordance with company Work Instructions, Policies, and Procedures. + Communicate production information such as quality issues to appropriate personnel. + Participate in activities to enhance personal skills and improve product quality. + Follow all written and oral instructions. + Resolve day-to-day issues by working effectively with others. + Accept and complete other duties as assigned to meet company needs. **Essential Skills** + Expert technical ability to set up and run secondary operations. + Ability to load, unload tools, and enter offsets. + Expert ability to read, modify, and edit programs. + Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints and specifications. + Strong ability to use calibrated metrology devices for inspection. + Distinguish different raw materials and understand their machining properties. + Maintain working knowledge of appropriate mathematical skills, including basic trigonometry. + Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. + OSHA-required training in Lock-out/Tag-out, Hazard Communication, PPE, and Emergency Evacuation. + In-house training on all assigned machinery and equipment. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in a job shop environment with low quantity runs. + Familiarity with CNC programming and Fanuc control. + Accountability for accurate job setup, meeting operation rates, and quality standards. **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including 401K matching, strong PTO, and promote from within. The work environment is a smaller job shop with 22 shop workers and features six brand new CNC machines. This setting offers low quantity runs, typically ranging from 20 to 100 pieces. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of Elk Grove Village, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr. Insurance is mostly paid for by M&R, but there are employee contributions also. We have 4 Aetna medical plans to choose from, 2 MetLife dental plans to choose from, vision, life and 401k. Medical prices range from as low as $31 contribution, all the way up to $350, depending on the selections.
