Job Description
This position is for a CNC Lathe Machinist where you will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, editing and understanding programming, and setting up the machine with appropriate fixtures and jigs. You will ensure parts meet specifications while utilizing machining tools and operating CNC Lathes effectively.
ResponsibilitiesRead, interpret, and understand blueprints and drawings including symbols and material types.Plan machining operations by studying work orders, blueprints, and specifications.Perform basic machining math including fractional/decimal conversion and trigonometry.Set up and operate CNC Lathe and machine parts/components to required specifications.Utilize machining tools such as high-speed drills, taps, and reamers.Edit and program mills utilizing HAAS Controller.Perform a variety of diversified close tolerance mill operations.Essential SkillsAt least 3 to 5 years of experience with CNC Lathe setup and operation.Background in short production runs with multiple setups and changeovers.Ability to read blueprints and program with HAAS Controller.Experience with conversational programming and/or G-Code.Additional Skills & QualificationsTrade school education preferred but not required.Experience with Fanuc, Okuma, Mastercam, Solidworks, and CAD/CAM is advantageous.Why Work Here?

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wood Dale, Illinois.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $32.00/hr.
